Welcome New Faculty!

Christine Breiner, Associate Professor of Mathematics comes to Brown from Fordham University.  She received her Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University in 2009.  Her research focuses on Geometric Analysis with current emphasis on constant mean curvature surfaces and harmonic maps.

Charles Daly, Tamarkin Assistant Professor of Mathematics received his Ph.D from the University of Maryland in 2021.  His research focuses on affine and projective structures on manifolds.

Susanna Haziot, Tamarkin Assistant Professor of Mathematics comes to Brown from the University of Vienna where she received her Ph.D. in 2021.  Her research interests are in nonlinear partial differential equations and in particular, in those concerning steady water waves and geophysical problems.

Yajit Jain, Tamarkin Assistant Professor of Mathematics comes to Brown after receiving his Ph.D from Northwestern in 2021.  His research is in manifold topology and homotopy theory.

Eric Larson, Assistant Professor of Mathematics joins the Brown Math Department from the University of Washington.  Prior to that he was an NSF postdoc at Stanford University.  Professor Larson received his Ph.D. from MIT in 2018.  His research focuses on Algebraic Geometry.

Isabel Vogt, Assistant Professor of Mathematics received her Ph.D. from MIT in 2019 before joining the math department at Stanford University as an NSF Postdoc and then the University of Washington as an Assistant Professor.  Professor Vogt's research is in the intersection of algebraic geometry and number theory.
