The CFAR Celebration Symposium on Thursday, September 27th is not only an acknowledgement of our 20th year as an NIH designated Center for AIDS Research, but a celebration of our new collaboration with Boston University/Boston Medical Center. The event will begin with Opening Remarks from Dr. Tony Fauci, Director of NIAID and Arthur Sampson, President of The Miriam Hospital, followed by the keynote address given by Dr. Carl Dieffenbach, Director of the Division of AIDS at the National Institutes of Health.
The morning session, Celebrating the past 20 years, will include presentations from some of our past and most successful CFAR Developmental Awardee Alumni including Bharat Ramratnam, Robert Paul, Awewura Kwara, and Aadia Rana. The afternoon session, Looking Towards the Future, will include presentations from Jeffrey Samet, Core Director of the Substance Use Research Core, Karen Jacobson, Director of the HIV/TB Scientific Working Group, and Paul Goulet, Chair of the CFAR Community Advocacy Board.
