Dr. Joanna Brown visits NPR

Family Medicine's own Dr. Joanna Brown was a recent contributor to a segment of NPR's program This I Believe - RI.  Listen to Dr. Brown's commentary on the negative effects that early exposure to violence can appoint to adolescent development and her challenge to toymakers to manufacture toys that enrich and encourage creativity.

Joanna Brown, MD is the Medical Director at the RI training school and is a well-known champion and advocate for adolescent health concerns.   She is also a driving force behind RI's practice transformation initiative to strengthen primary care.  Dr. Brown is an alum of the Brown Family Medicine Residency program.
