Caroll Silver International Traveling Fellowship
Carroll Silver was the former Chief of Orthopaedics at The Miriam Hospital. Through his generosity and through the generosity of his wonderful children, June Rogul, Susan and Paul Silver, this fellowship was created in his name, providing a unique educational opportunity for residents at Brown.
Each year, a resident or fellow and/or an attending can travel abroad, usually to a developing nation to provide orthopaedic care to the local population. The concept of the Silver Fellowship is to have the senior resident and the attending physician, share their expertise with the physicians in the host country.
This fellowship is available to our residents for a one- month period during the PGY-5 Research Block.
