Craig Lefort is awarded a 2nd COBRE Project!
Craig Lefort, PhD, was awarded a 12-month project with the CardioPulmonary Vascular Biology COBRE at the Ocean State Research Institute.
Dr. Lefort's pilot project is entitled “Integrin Activation Regulates Neutrophil Trafficking During Respiratory Infection.” The proposed work will provide a greater understanding of the mechanisms of neutrophil trafficking and during acute respiratory bacterial infection. These studies may identify regulators of integrin activation as effective therapeutics for attenuating lung damage while preserving adequate host defense of the lung.
The project begins June 1, 2015; total costs for the 1-year period is $50,000. Congratulations!
