BIOL 6690: An Introduction to the History of Medicine

This course presents a survey of various topics in the history of medicine, including the origins of modern mental health, radical surgery, anatomical dissections, and gender and race in medicine, among other topics. The course will consist of 8 lecture-based sessions taught by experts in the field along with a final presentation led by students in the course on a topic of their choice. No prior experience is required for this class.
