Years 1 and 2

The Years 1 and 2 curriculum is composed of a four-semester, integrated basic science course, Integrated Medical Sciences, a two-year clinical skills and professional development program called Doctoring, and a Clinical Skills Clerkship that prepares students to transition into Year 3.

In addition to these required courses, the elective Scholarly Concentrations Program is introduced in Year 1 and runs throughout the four years of medical school. The program allows students to pursue a course of study beyond the traditional medical school curriculum and translate personal interests into scholarship.
