Biography

Undergraduate: B.A., Cognitive Science, University of California, Berkeley, 2004

Research Experience: Research fellow at Mind and Life Summer Institute in NY, focusing on the link between contemplative and developmental neurosciences in teaching contemplative practices in public schools. 

Other Experience: Certified yoga instructor with training in trauma-sensitive yoga for PTSD. Intern for MBCT course at Brown. Developed yogic protocol for use in the treatment of PTSD, ISHTA Yoga, NY. Created website http://www.ItsBetterWithYoga.com to help patients in RI begin a yoga practice safely. Co-founder of BrANCH: Brown Agriculture, Nutrition and Community Health, a group using community gardens to promote nutrition education.
