Mike grew up on Long Island in Northport, New York and played lacrosse and soccer growing up. He attended Providence College where he majored in Biology. He developed his passion for medicine when he volunteered at the nearby Roger Williams Medical Center. In college, his research focused on the cellular mechanisms of UV light damage on skin. He completed a Master's Degree in Medical Science and after which he went to medical school at New York Medical College. During medical school, he performed research on heart failure before finding his true love - neurology. His current interests include: medical technology, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, sports neurology, rehabilitation, and neurodegenerative disorders. Mike enjoys going to Newport, RI with his wife in the summers where he enjoys the beaches and great restaurants. He is also an avid snowboarder and has travelled to many mountains around the country.
