Brown Center for Students of Color

The Brown Center for Students of Color (BCSC) serves as a gathering place for communities of color. Students are encouraged to build meaningful relationships across difference, develop racial and ethnic consciousness, and enact change at Brown and beyond. Office of Student Life

Within the division of Campus Life, a variety of services, support and outreach to undergraduate, graduate, and medical students is available to promote academic achievement and personal development.

In addition to several other Campus Life departments, offices and programs, the following programs are available:

Office of Student Conduct & Community Standards

  • Administration of the Student Conduct system
  • Campus no-contact orders or other services related to a campus incident 
  • Receipt of complaints reporting misconduct by students

Student Support Services

  • Medical Leave of Absence and Medical Readmission processes
  • Assistance with student emergencies, personal or family crises -- same day appointments during office hours with the Dean of the Day; Administrator on-Call during evening, weekend, and school Breaks
  • Consultation with families to manage a crisis or emergency
  • Support services for students reporting incidents of relationship violence, sexual assault, or stalking

Student and Employee Accessibility Services (SEAS)

  • Requests for accommodations and services related to disability
  • Coordination and facilitation of services for students (undergraduate, graduate, medical, postdoctoral trainees), faculty, staff and visitors with physical, psychological, and learning disabilities
  • Temporary accomodations related to injury
  • SEAS onCall shuttle
