Research Interests: Kenneth Berger is a PhD candidate in the Department of Modern Culture and Media at Brown University. His dissertation, Reinventions of Life: The Cinematic Avant-Gardes in the Age of Spectacle and Biopower, reevaluates the history and legacies of the twentieth-century avant-gardes. He received an MFA in Interdisciplinary Studio Art from UCLA’s Department of Art and has taught art history and theory at the University of Southern California, UC Irvine, and Otis College of Art and Design.
