In Memoriam: Debra Mann

Last week, we lost a friend and colleague, Debra Mann. Debra was a gifted jazz vocalist and pianist, and she was a dedicated instructor of music to our students at Brown. Last year she helped us begin our new theory curriculum by teaching the labs for the new theory course, Music 0570, Jazz and Pop Harmony. In August she released Full Circle - The Music of Joni Mitchell, a solo project of which she was proud. She will be dearly missed both here at Brown and more broadly in the Rhode Island musical community.
