The recitals will feature the ensembles in Brown's Chamber Music Performance program and students studying in the String Division of the Applied Music Program.

A total of approximately 80 students will perform on this series of recitals.

Family Weekend Brunch Recital

Location: Grant Recital Hall

A light brunch will be served at 10:15AM, followed by a Recital performance presenting students from the Applied Music Program, Chamber music, and ensembles. There is also a Master Class at 1:00PM.

Brown Bag Concert (Apr 24)

Location: Sayles Hall

Bring your lunch and enjoy a free concert featuring Music Department students.  You can stay for one or two pieces or the entire hour. Water and fruit will be provided.

Program to include works by Ravel, Beethoven, Chopin, Bartok and original songs by Morayo Akande '16.

Performances by violinist Alex Hirsch, vocalist Morayo Akande, and pianists: Katherine Magee, Masako Fidler, Amy Lin, Jacob Kirschenbaum and Daniel Xiang.

Devanney Haruta: junior oboe recital

Master Class led by Alban Gerhardt

Cellist Alban Gerhardt will lead a cello master class for students in the Applied Music Program and the RI Philharmonic Music School.  Mr. Gerhardt will be performing with the RI Philharmonic Orchestra at The VETS on April 11.

Aurea presents 'Anthem'

Part of Aurea's centennial remembrance of the onset of the Great War, Anthem was inspired by Wilfred Owen’s iconic poem, Anthem for Doomed Youth, printed posthumously in 1920. This program amplifies the recurrent themes in the play, Not About Heroes by Stephen MacDonald, also being performed by Aurea at Brown University, Monday, March 9th, in Pembroke Hall 305.
