About the Program
Calling all orchestral musicians! Join the Brown University Orchestra for a virtual open house with current musicians, board members, and Music Director Mark Seto. We will chat about the orchestra’s future plans, share videos of recent performances, and answer questions from participants.
We invite you to join us to celebrate the release of the Black Elements EP, made entirely by the students in the Black Protest Music course, led by Professor Charrise Barron. The release party will include communal listening where we’ll share all the songs, accompanying music videos, and one grand feature video – all produced by the students who participated in this course. We look forward to sharing our hearts, music, and work with you on April 14 at 4pm EST!
Stanley Yip ’21 gives a live performance as a capstone project for his Concentration in Music at Brown University.A description of the event in Stanley’s own words follows:
The Brown University Department of Music hosts an Open House on two dates: April 10 at 2pm and April 21 at 7pm EDT. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from several faculty and current undergraduates, and ask questions during the sessions. The sessions will be recorded and shared online for those who cannot participate in real time. We hope you can join us!
