PTP Grants for Student Programs

The Political Theory Project (PTP) hereby invites any and all student groups within the Brown University community to submit funding proposals for programs relevant to the mission of the PTP. Again, our goal is to invigorate the study of ideas and institutions that make societies free, prosperous, and fair - all conducted with a preferential eye towards intellectual and ideological pluralism.

Possible proposals may include but are in no way limited to funding for a visiting speaker or speakers to deliver a lecture or panel discussion on campus (such speaker budgets typically include travel, lodging, and honorarium), funding for student research materials, travel, or registration expenses for relevant conferences, publication costs, etc.

Student groups interested in requesting funds should submit a brief description of their planned event, an estimated budget, and a detailed explanation as to how the event will promote the PTP's mission and maintain a commitment to intellectual and ideological diversity.

Proposals will be reviewed for approval by the PTP programming board with advisory council from the active PPE Scholars. All proposals should be submitted to [email protected].

If representative members of a student group have remaining questions or need advisory council regarding their grant proposal they should contact the PTP to schedule an advisory meeting.
