Zohar Frank, PhD Candidate, Theater Arts and Peformance Studies, Brown

This workshop will provide you with the necessary tools to turn your research project into a successful presentation. You will learn how to speak with confidence and how to best engage your audience, both in the conference hall and in the more intimate interview setting.

Zohar Frank is a PhD candidate in the Department of Theater Arts and Performance Studies at Brown, where she studies performance through the lenses of phenomenology, deconstruction, and psychoanalysis.  Her dissertation revolves around teh notion of the uncanny in relation to the body in performance.  Frank holds an MA degree in Philosophy and a BA degree in History from Tel Aviv University.  Prior to pursuing graduate studies, she ahs been involved in dance making as a performer, choreographer, dramaturge, and educator.  Frank has co-taught the course Persuasive Communication at Brown alongside Barbara Tannenbaum.
