Python and Data Science Workshop

This PSTC training Pandas Workshop is a continuation of the Getting Started with Python and Data Science Workshop that was held on Jan. 15 and 16, 2020. During this workshop, participants will learn to use Pandas and NumPy packages to perform data manipulation with Python. Basic understanding of Python and Jupyter notebook is required.

This workshop will cover topics on data structures, I/O, selection, missing data imputation, merging, grouping, visualization, and other data wrangling techniques. Attendees are expected to gain hands-on experience and sufficient understanding from a prepared data science project.

Space is limited and those who attended the last workshop will receive priority. Open to students, postdocs, faculty and other researchers with a Brown University affiliation.

Requirements: Participants must bring a laptop with a Windows or Mac operating system that they have administrator permission on.
