Kelley Alison Smith
Kelley Alison Smith first joined the PSTC in 1999 and has held a variety of roles over the years, including administrative coordinator, project manager, and in-house editor. She coordinated and participated in the first series of Wits-Brown-Colorado-APHRC colloquia, and assisted PSTC faculty with research and capacity-building work in Bangladesh and Ethiopia. Kelley earned an MPH degree from Brown in 2008, and later worked as a field director in American Samoa and Kenya for Brown faculty members. Her own research is broadly concerned with sexual and reproductive health, particularly that of adolescents and sexual minorities. She has co-taught graduate writing seminars in Sociology and at the School of Public Health. She also works as a freelance editor for graduate students and faculty at Brown and many other academic institutions.
Her current responsibilities include managing PSTC communications and coordinating projects for PSTC Director Susan Short.
