PSTC | Manager of Finance and Administration
Thomas Alarie has more than 20 years of experience in the administrative field, including more than a decade of research administration and office management. Having received his initial administrative training in the U.S. Army, Alarie was exposed to myriad administrative duties, from basic clerical work to managing administration in the military intelligence field, and received several awards for his efforts. His military experience carried over well into higher-education administration, where he has been serving the PSTC for the past 20 years. He is a member of the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA) and Society of Research Administrators (SRA) and has participated on planning committees for the Region I section of NCURA. In addition to completing Brown’s Management Development Program, Alarie served on the first President’s Staff Advisory Committee and helped create new policies that remain in effect at the University.
