Professor Onésimo T. Almeida gave a lecture entitled “Modern Dimensions of Camões’ The Lusiads” for an event co-sponsored by the Department of Portuguese & Brazilian Studies, the Camões Institute of Lisbon, and the Portuguese Embassy in Washington on November 1 at the Maddock Alumni Center.  A reception followed with the presence of His Excellency Francisco Duarte Lopes, Ambassador of Portugal in Washington, DC.
