BSS Ph.D. candidate Ugoji Nwanaji-Enwerem was selected as a 2023 Clinton Global Initiative University Fellow. Ugoji was selected among the 2023 cohort to also present her research interests regarding the association of greenspace exposure and noise on health. The annual conference took place March 3-5, 2023 in Tennessee at Vanderbilt University, where she presented her project of impact and participated in a day of service with former President Bill Clinton and Dr. Chelsea Clinton.

The Clinton Global Initiative University fellowship is a program to equip students with the resources and tools to become leaders committed to learning and taking action towards the world's most pressing issues. The program offers a combination of training, mentorship, and a curriculum that fosters networking, professional development, and support towards an impact project.
