Biography

Eric Loucks, Ph.D., is a cardiovascular physiologist and social epidemiologist, whose research agenda focuses on elucidating biological mechanisms, by which social and psychosocial factors may influence cardiovascular disease. More specifically, his research program focuses on evaluating (1) associations of childhood family psychosocial environment and life course socioeconomic position with biological cardiovascular disease risk factors/markers, (2) epigenetic mechanisms by which social and psychosocial factors may influence cardiovascular disease risk, and (3) impacts of mindfulness on biological and behavioral cardiovascular disease risk factors/markers.
