Jon Steingrimsson, Ph.D. Brown University Assistant Professor of Biostatistics and Constantine Gatsonis, Ph.D. Brown University Henry Ledyard Goddard University Professor of Biostatistics are co-investigators on a National Cancer Institute funded project that will use radiomic features to distinguish low from high risk DCIS (Ductal carcinoma in situ). The project is titled “MRI Radiomic Signatures of DCIS to Optimize Treatment '' and is led by the Principal Investigators Habib Rahbar, M.D, FSBI from University of Washington and Despina Kontos, Ph.D from University of Pennsylvania. Using several databases, the project team will identify MRI radiomic features and evaluate how well the features associate with DCIS score and upgrade to invasive disease and how well the features predict ipsilateral breast recurrence.
