Researchers identify the factors that put nursing home residents at highest risk of dying from COVID-19

National Institute on Aging — Cognitive impairment, along with age, gender, chronic medical conditions, and physical limitations, is linked to a higher risk of death among nursing home residents with COVID-19, according to a study by researchers in the Center for Gerontology and Healthcare Research and supported in part by NIA.
