Sumner Place is using Music & Memory to improve care for residents with dementia.

The nursing center in Lincoln, Nebraska is one of only four across the country selected for the pilot phase of Q&I's pragmatic trial. The pilot took place January through June 2018 and the large-scale trial, involving about 80 nursing centers from four corporations, runs from January 2019 through June 2021. Now, Sumner Place staff are continuing the program on their own. Administrator Larry P. Van Hunnik tells the Q&I team, "As you know, this has been life-altering in a very positive way for caregivers and family members."
