Nursing center pneumonia and influenza rates vary widely, according to the results of a study presented at the Brown University School of Public Health's annual Public Health Research Day by Elliot Bosco (pictured), a PhD student in the Department of Health Services, Policy & Practice. According to the poster presentation, hiring more registered nurses or physician extenders, increased staffing hours, and high-quality care practices may reduce pneumonia and influenza hospitalization rates.
