This study is testing the efficacy of the self-acceptance-based intervention in comparison to HIV/ voluntary counseling and testing (VCT) on co-primary outcomes: sexually transmitted infection (STI) incidence and reduced episodes of unprotected anal sex among HIV-infected and uninfected men who have sex with men (MSM) in Chennai and Mumbai , India. The incremental cost-effectiveness of the intervention and HIV/STI VCT relative to HIV/STI VCT alone is being assessed, considering individual and public health benefits as well as downstream cost-savings due to HIV infections averted.
