Kevin Escudero will work on two projects as a Fellow at the Center for Public Humanities during the 2018-2019 academic year. The first will be a partnership with the Providence Community Library to hold Know Your Rights Trainings for local residents and to screen the film, "Precious Knowledge" about the fight for Ethnic Studies in Arizona. These events will be led by students in Professor Escudero's Introduction to American/Ethnic Studies course during the fall 2018 semester. The second project he will work on is the development of an online platform to present data collected as part of an original survey being fielded in the Northeastern United States to examine the experiences of immigrant law and medical students of various legal statuses. More information about the Immigrant Student Research Project can be found here.
