I'm interested in how museums and communities in the US remember and teach about sensitive historical topics. As a collection interpreter I hope to  bridge the gap between academia and the public experience of artifacts through creating comprehensive narratives that do not omit stories that may be hard to reconcile.

My undergraduate thesis explored the memorializing and 'museumifying' of the Holocaust in Berlin followed by an investigation into how the topic is taught throughout the US.  I've worked with several institutions in Philadelphia leading tours, developing public programs, designing and building exhibits, doing collection maintenance and running history crawls. Most recently I coordinated a program at the Philadelphia Museum of Art called Inside Out- an outdoor installation series of high quality reproductions of museum favorites in the city and surrounding neighborhoods and developing and implementing programming during the exhibitions. I'm very excited to be studying with my colleagues at Brown!
