This talk is the keynote of Building Health Equity in an Unequal World, a collaborative lecture series presented by the Brown University School of Public Health and the Center for the Study of Race and Ethnicity in America. Dr. James is the Susan B. King Emeritus Professor of Public Policy at the Sanford School of Public Policy, Duke University. His research focuses on the social determinants of racial and ethnic disparities in health and health care .
