Lodging Options

The conference hotel is the Hampton Inn, 58 Weybosset St., Providence (401-608-3500).  Downtown Providence is full of lively shops, cafes, and restaurants; the river with its gondolas is charming.  The distance to the Symposium venues is about a half mile, with a steep hill in between.  The conference rate at the Hampton Inn is $165 per room (plus taxes), and includes breakfast.  The Hampton Inn is holding a limited number of rooms for us at the conference rate until May 20, 2019.

Rooms are also available in Brown University dormitories.  These are $60 per night including linens and towels.  The cost covers: a private room in a shared suite with shared bathrooms (gender segregated).  There is air conditioning and free wi-fi.  The dorm is close to Thayer St. for breakfast and other needs, and just a few blocks from the main Symposium venues.  Please note: there may be construction in the dorm area during normal work hours.  To book a dorm room, please do so through the registration application
