Graduate Student in Slavic Studies
Tara Wheelwright was born and raised in New Jersey. She received her B.A. in Biology and Russian Studies from Hamilton College in Clinton, NY. After graduation, she spent a year working in Tbilisi, Georgia as a college counselor and high school teacher in the country’s first liberal arts high school. She then returned to New York and completed an M.A. in Regional Studies of Russia, Eurasia & Eastern Europe from Columbia University. While in New York, she worked at American Ballet Theatre and the Metropolitan Opera.
