Race and the War on Terror: A Question of Method

Abstract

Through an examination of the development of the FBI’s “most wanted terrorist” list, this talk will revisit common theoretical-methodological approaches to war on terror phenomena in the sociology of race. The limits of these approaches illuminate their broader implications as well as alternative directions for the study of race.
