Benjamin Bradlow, PhD Candidate for Sociology, has been approved for the NSF Doctoral Dissertation Improvement award in 2018. This award aims to fund doctoral dissertation research and defray direct costs associated with conducting research.

In 2016, Benjamin also recieve the Brazil Initiation Scholarship from the Brazilian Studies Association. The BIS' mission is to expand Brazilian Studies in the United States by granting travel funds to support exploratory research or language study in Brazil.
