Taubman Center MPA Students Present Analysis to Town of Narragansett

Master of Public Affairs students Graham Sheridan '14 and Adolfo Bailon '14 will present results from their study of the Town of Narragansett’s vehicle maintenance program to the Narragansett Town Council on Monday, September 16 at 6:30 p.m. The second-year MPA students were commissioned by the Council to conduct the study this past summer.

Taubman Lecturer to Co-Chair TRI-Lab

Adjunct lecturer in public policy Elizabeth Burke Bryant will co-chair the university’s new TRI-Lab initiative. The first TRI-Lab, which stands for Teaching, Research, and Impact, begins during the 2013–2014 academic year.

Beginning on September 11, the Taubman Center will present "Workshop Wednesdays," a series of professional development workshops designed specially for public policy undergraduates and graduate students.

All sessions will be held in Taubman Center seminar room 104 at noon.

Rich Arenberg's Op-Ed Piece for the Washington Post

Adjunct lecturer in public policy Richard Arenberg recently wrote an opinion piece for the Washington Post urging Harry Reid to "save the filibuster." Democrats have threatened to use a loophole in Senate rules -- the so-called "nuclear option" -- to dismantle the filibuster, which allows the minority party to stall legislation lacking a two-thirds majority.
