Financial Aid for Resume Undergraduate Education (RUE) Applicants

Brown is committed to meeting 100 percent of demonstrated financial need for undergraduates. All applicants to the RUE program who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents and eligible to apply as freshmen fall under the need-blind admission policy, consistent with the University policies for all freshmen applicants.

RUE applicants who are classified as transfer applicants because of prior college-level coursework are considered for admission on a need-aware basis, consistent with the University policies for transfer applicants. International RUE applicants are eligible for financial aid on a need-aware basis.


Financial Aid Applications and Deadlines

Applicants who wish to be considered for financial aid must complete Brown’s own RUE Financial Aid Application by March 1, available online from the Office of Financial Aid.

Applicants must also submit the FAFSA and Federal Income Tax returns, if applicable. Please see complete policy information and links to forms on the Office of Financial Aid website.


Financial Aid for U.S. Military Veterans

Brown participants in the Yellow Ribbon Program for eligible U.S. military veterans. A combination of veterans benefits and institutional aid often covers most or all of the cost of education for student veterans. Learn more about veteran benefits.
