Campus Tours

Led by a Brown student, the campus tour gives prospective students the opportunity to see our campus first hand and to learn about campus landmarks, residential life, dining and Brown history and traditions. The tour lasts approximately 60 minutes.

Location

All information sessions and campus tours begin at the Stephen Robert '62 Campus Center located at 75 Waterman Street, Providence, Rhode Island. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before the start of a session or tour. Registration

Although it is not mandatory that you register for general campus tours and information sessions, we do highly recommend it.

Please note that, for security and safety reasons, campus tours do not enter student dormitories.


Additional Tours

The School of Engineering is excited to offer tours designed to give prospective students an overview of what it is like to study Engineering at Brown University. Your tour will be led by current Engineering students and will visit classrooms and lab spaces. The Engineering tour lasts approximately 30 minutes.

The Brown Office of Sustainability is excited to offer the Brown Sustainability Tour!

The Sustainability Tour introduces prospective students to sustainability initiatives at Brown, including compost and recycling, LEED buildings, local food and alternative living options. Current Brown students share their experiences with sustainability at Brown and how students can get involved inside and outside the classroom. The tour lasts approximately 1 hour. 

For the fall, the tour runs Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 12 p.m. from Tuesday, October 2 until Wednesday, December 5.

The physical sciences tour is designed to give prospective students a glimpse of what it is like to study computer science, chemistry, physics, engineering, math, applied math, and earth, environmental and planetary sciences at Brown. The tour visits classrooms and lab spaces and lasts approximately 80 minutes. (The physical sciences tour does not cover life sciences such as biology or neuroscience.)

Prospective students attending this tour are limited to one guest per student. Also, children under the age of 12 may not participate in the tour. 

Registration is required for the physical sciences tour. Lab safety practices limit the number of visitors to our laboratory spaces.
