President's Keynote: "Open Curriculum/Open Doors"
President Christina Paxson P'19 will share remarks about a new phase of initiatives for realizing a bold vision for the experience we offer students at Brown. Building upon the unique relationships that connect an innovative approach to teaching with scholars doing leading research, Brown will ensure that all students feel prepared to take on complex issues at Brown and beyond. The President will share initiatives that support students and faculty in reaching across areas of study to tackle the world's most pressing challenges.

Family Weekend Straight From the Source
Grab a cup of coffee, and meet key administrators responsible for all aspects of the undergraduate experience at Brown. Dean of the College Maud S. Mandel and the Interim Assistant Vice Presidents of Campus Life, MaryGrace Almandrez and MaryLou McMillan, will discuss initiatives in academic and campus life. This event is a great opportunity to ask questions about advising, the residential experience at Brown, learning in and outside the classroom, and more. Light refreshments will be available.

Family Weekend Forums – Session 1

Brown’s faculty, staff, students and alumni share their expertise regarding topics of widespread interest to create an ongoing educational link with the University. This segment of Family Weekend allows families to share students' experiences through lectures and panels by members of the Brown community. Check back for a listing of forums.

Shuttles to the Brown Stadium
Shuttle buses will run continuously to the Brown Stadium from 11:00 AM until one hour after the game ends. Shuttles will pick up at the following locations: (in order) Thayer Street & Bowen Street, Power Street Garage, Thayer Street & Charles Field Street, Wayland Arch, Faunce Arch, Hope Street at Nelson Fitness Center, Lloyd Avenue at Lot 89/90 entrance. For more information on shuttles from Athletics click here.

$ Brown Football vs. Princeton
Come out and support the Bears as Brown Football takes on Ivy League rival Princeton! Tickets are available for a reduced price of $10 if purchased online at BrownBears.com in advance. Please use the code BROWNFAM15 to receive the discounted price until Friday, October 16. Tickets can also be purchased at Brown Stadium on gameday for $18. Your student is admitted free with his/her Brown ID. There is a concession stand inside the stadium. Shuttles will also be running to/from Brown Stadium. If you are interested in attending this event, you are encouraged to purchase your tickets in advance. 

And be sure to wear pink to the football game in support of breast cancer awareness and the Brown University Oncology Group! BrUOG will be outside the main entrance on gameday collecting donations for Cancer Research. Be sure to visit them and learn about the great work BrUOG does!

Planning with your Sophomore
Sophomores and their families will have an opportunity to explore critical topics such as academic concentrations, career interests, study abroad programs, and the best use of Brown’s open curriculum.

Understanding Brown's Commencement (for rising Seniors)
Brown's Commencement is an exciting event, but it can sometimes raise a number of questions for families looking to plan in advance. Members of Brown's Commencement staff will be on hand to provide an overview of Commencement activities, tips for families and guests, and answer key questions about this important weekend. This session is geared toward families of seniors, but it is open to all.

4:00 pm – 5:00 pm 
President's "Office Hours Q&A" for Parents
President Christina Paxson will respond to questions from parents and families about the ways the University's leadership supports the educational experience Brown provides to students. Other University leaders also will be available to respond to questions relating to issues of campus life.
