BWell Consultation Open Hours

BWell Health Promotion is here to support your well-being.  We can work with all enrolled students (undergraduate, graduate, and medical) who are on campus or studying remotely.  BWell staff offers 30-minute consultation sessions to support a variety of inquiries.  

  • You can meet with anyone in BWell or with a specific staff member. To meet with a specific staff member, choose an appointment slot that displays the name of the staff member you want to meet with. 

  • If this is your first time scheduling a consult, please review the information below about what to and what NOT to schedule a consult for. 

  • Click here to choose your consultation time. In the description please include a few words about the reason for meeting (no more than 1-2 sentences).

If you are interested in a confidential appointment with a Health Educator or SHARE Advocate to discuss sexual or gender-based violence, alcohol or other drug use, or sexual health please fill out the appointment request form, do not use the consultation scheduler.

What can I schedule a consult for?

  • Support for a BWell workshop or program.

    • Are your pod members feeling stressed?  Does your team need help with sleep? Would your club benefit from focused time to think through their social support networks?  Facilitate a BWell Workshop-in-a-bag to support community well-being. We offer workshops-in-a-bag for many wellness topics and can help you find a program to meet your community’s needs.  During a consultation, we will give you the tools and support to make your program successful.

  • Information about BWell’s programs & services including our peer education programs.

    • Interested in helping to prevent sexual violence on campus?  Want to get involved in BWell’s orientation program? Want to teach other students about safer sex methods, healthy masculinity, socail wellbeing or stress reduction? Are you looking to develop skills as an educator in public health, social work or wellbeing?  Learn about our peer education programs and how you can gain invaluable experience and professional development.

  • Educational information about individual and community well-being

    • Are you an RPL who wants to discuss a wellness concern for your residents? Are you the leader of a campus group and members have brought forward wellness concerns?  We can help you think through addressing these concerns through educational interventions or community conversations.

  • Educational information about public health measures on campus.

    • Are you concerned about high-risk drinking in the Brown community? Are you developing clubs, policies, or content to address public health concerns? Meet with us to learn more about best practices and current initiatives.

  • Guidance on developing a program for your unit or student group.

    • If you are noticing your community could use some additional support, reach out to us for a consultation to learn about what educational interventions are available to support individual and community wellbeing.

What can I NOT schedule a consult for?

BWell consults are NOT appropriate for the following:

  • Confidential appointments with a SHARE Advocate for support around experiences of sexual, relationship or gender-based harm or for help supporting someone else who has been harmed. To schedule a SHARE Appointment, click here.  For immediate crisis response call the Sexual Assault Response Line at 401-863-7895 24 hours/7 days a week.

  • Individual appointments with a Health Educator to discuss sexual health or alcohol or other drug use. To schedule an individual appointment click here.

  • Any media or interview requests must be submitted in writing by emailing [email protected]
