Syllabus Statement

A syllabus statement provides information to students on how to access accommodation and disability related services. It's the student's responsibility to contact sas in advance to discuss or request disability related accommodations.

Syllabus Statement Example

"In accordance with federal laws, regulations, and best practices Brown University strives to make learning experiences accessible. If you need disability-related accommodations please contact SAS at 401-863-9588"

Alternative Statement:

"At Brown University, providing a culture of inclusion and equitable opportunities for success for disabled students is a campus-wide responsibility and commitment. The SAS provides reasonable accommodations. If you have a disability or any questions related to accommodations please contact SAS as soon as possible at 401-863-9588 or register through the SAS online portal  Services are free and confidential."
