Lottery and Housing Accommodations
There are three components of a housing accommodation request to submit in order to process your request.
1. Information and Release Form - this is for students who are not yet registered with our office. If you are already registered you do not need to complete this form.
2. Verification form and/or documentation which supports your housing request.
SEAS will work with you to determine the best approach to managing your needs within the Lottery and housing assignment process. The first step will be to request housing accommodations on a yearly basis using the Housing Accommodation Request form. On that form, it will be essential to let us know what your preferences are as far as residence halls and how many others you hope to live with. This typically means that you will need to be researching and thinking about these things well before the annual date we request your forms and any updated documentation be in: February 5th.
Additional questions about this process please feel free to email us at [email protected]
Brown offers a range of program housing options from fraternities and sororities to Tech House to Quiet housing. If you have an interest in program housing and have a need for housing accommodations, please contact SEAS as soon as possible so that we can make sure program housing is assigned in a location that will meet your needs and make sure you complete your Housing Accommodation request by the February 5th deadline. Once Program housing is assigned for a given year, it will not be possible for it to be re-assigned until the following academic year. It may be possible to designate additional program housing depending on the nature of the programs.
