While consulting, finance and tech make up the lion's share of the employers attending Brown's fall and spring general career fairs, many nonprofits and government agencies attend those fairs as well. Brown students can always log into Handshake at Brown and select the "events" tab to see which organizations and agencies have registered to attend upcoming CareerLAB career fairs. The All Ivy Environmental and Sustainable Development Career Fair will be held on Feb. 9, 2018 from 10:00 to 3:00 at Columbia University in New York City. This annual fair is the premier event for Ivy League students interested in the environment and sustainability to connect with recruiters and discuss internships, full- and part-time job opportunities. Brown undergraduate, graduate, and professional degree students are welcome to attend. Visit the Handshake for direction on how to register for the Fair and reserve a spot on the bus that leaves from Brown at 7:00 AM on the morning of the Fair. Connect with Nonprofits & Government Agencies in Washington, D.C. on February 16, 2018. The Georgetown EXPO and DC IMPACTlink are two separate events, both taking place on the same day. A shuttle will be provided so that students can move between the two events in D.C.
- GEORGETOWN GOVERNMENT & NONPROFIT EXPO 2018 -- All Brown undergraduate and graduate students may attend the Georgetown Government and Nonprofit Expo, which runs from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Georgetown University Hotel and Conference Center. Registration is required. You can register for the EXPO here.
- Registration for DC IMPACTlink 2018 is closed. This event runs from 9:00 to 5:00 at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. The event provides an opportunity for students from Brown University, The College of William & Mary, Duke University, University of Virginia, Swarthmore College and Yale University to interview with employers from the metropolitan Washington area with a focus on public policy, government, think tanks, nonprofit organizations, and media.
The 2018 Brown/RISD Common Good Internship and Job Fair will be held on February 21, 2018 from 12:00 to 3:00 in Sayles Hall. Brown and RISD students are welcome to attend this career fair to meet with employers who work in nonprofit, for-profit, and government agencies.
