Starting the Search
Handshake is the place to start your job search. You can find hundreds of jobs from Employers -- including Brown alumni, parents, and friends -- who target Brown students. Handshake is the new and improved way to engage with CareerLAB and apply for jobs and internships. Read more about Handshake here.
Once you’ve activated your account, you can view job postings, upload job application materials, sign up for on-campus interviews, and monitor the status of your applications, all in an easy online system. You can even save your job searches so that new opportunities are e-mailed to your account. Please review the Student Policies and Professional Standards before getting started. Note: This is for current students only. Alumni can access the Alumni Job Board.
The Brown Student Job and Internship Board will be shut down on June 30. If you have any documents (including resumes and cover letters) on the JIB that you want to keep and that you don’t have saved anywhere else download them before June 30.
In additional to searching Handshake, you can also Explore Career Fields to get a better idea of job opportunities that may interest you, resources for that particular industry, and related events.
