Deputy Director of CareerLAB, Director of BrownConnect
Aixa Kidd joined the CareerLAB team in June 2014 as the Director of BrownConnect, a new initiative linking students to the Brown community for career success. She works with the Brown community to increase summer positions posted by alumni, parents and friends of the University, increase funding for low paying and unpaid internship and research opportunities, and connect students with alumni, parents and friends of the university for valuable mentorship and career advice. She has worked for the past 15 years in higher education previously at Clark University and The Boston Conservatory. She received her BA from Bowdoin College and her MFA from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro.
