Gender Inclusive Restrooms

Bathrooms & Locker Rooms

Brown supports all people in using the bathroom and locker room that is in line with their gender identity.  For anyone who would like to use a gender inclusive restroom we have many on campus (see below) and we are working to provide more in buildings that do not yet have them available.  Whenever we do new construction or do a major building renovation we have a standard of including the addition of a gender inclusive restroom whenever possible.   The information listed below is for academic and administrative buildings.  The Residence Hall restroom designations sometimes change so if you would like to make sure you live near a gender inclusive restroom you can let the Office of Residential Life know when you register for housing.

*We have recently made some updates in the Fall of 2015 and we are currently undergoing an exhaustive bathroom survey with a comprehensive update to be completed in Spring 2016*  If you find an error with this list please report it to Kelly Garrett at lgbtq@brown.edu. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact the LGBTQ Center at 863-3062.
