Numerous research groups at Brown University focus on computation relevant for systems and cognitive neuroscience. The Center for Computational Brain Science provides an explicit structure for systematic interactions among faculty and their research groups, catalyzed by cross-training.

The center has three focus areas of research including:

  • Computational psychiatry / neurology, neurotechnology and neuromodulation
  • Computational vision
  • Neural computation, artificial intelligence and machine learning
