Directions and Access
The RISD Museum is centrally located on the Rhode Island School of Design campus in downtown Providence.
Entrances to the museum are located at 20 North Main Street and 224 Benefit Street. The North Main Street entrance is the closest to the Biltmore Hotel and downtown Providence. Both entrances are handicap accessible.
The museum is a ten-minute walk from the Biltmore Hotel. To reach the North Main Street entrance, head northwest on Washington Street past Kennedy Plaza and cross the bridge to the other side of Providence River. Turn right onto North Main Street after crossing the bridge and the entrance to the museum will be about a block away.
You may also consider taking a cab or an Uber from the Biltmore Hotel.

Hours and Admission
The RISD Museum will be open each day of the conference, 10am-5pm. Regular museum hours are Tuesday-Sunday, 10am-5pm.
Note that the Department of Prints, Drawings, and Photographs will be holding special visiting hours for conference attendees on Friday, October 28 from 10am-1:30pm. Please click here for more information.
For free admission to the museum, please present your conference badge at the visitor services desk. General rates of admission are as follows:
- General admission: $12
- Senior citizens (age 62+): $10
- College students: $5 with valid college ID
