Graduate Programs

Equipping innovative thinkers with the strategic leadership skills to manage technological change in today's global economy.

To not only survive but thrive in this constant pace of change, today’s leaders must be equipped with the skills to think strategically, guide transformation effectively and inspire ingenuity.

Brown University’s Master of Science (ScM) in Technology Leadership goes beyond a traditional MBA. Structured for busy professionals, our 12-month hybrid program develops leaders with a broad vision and ability to meet the world’s new and evolving demands. The rigorous curriculum, taught by top-tier faculty, balances technical expertise with strong leadership, communication and relational skills to position you for career advancement.

Designed for busy, ambitious professionals, the program’s predominately online learning experience  is enhanced by two residential sessions held on Brown’s campus. Regardless of where you live, Brown’s rigorous curriculum, world-class faculty and dynamic community allows you to build the network and skills vital for your advancement — without interrupting your career.

Program Format

Students convene during two mandatory on-campus residential sessions. These relationships are the foundation for the powerful network that develops, creating an environment for a lively exchange of ideas and connections that serve as expert resources during and after the program.

Our program is tailored for professionals with career demands, family commitments and other responsibilities that cannot be put on hold. The online classroom provides a dynamic and engaging environment where students are connected through a portal with thoughtfully curated content, meaningful coursework, challenging discussions and collaborative projects, designed to inspire strong and high-impact learning.
