Camtasia may be used either on Brown University owned or personal computers for teaching purposes only. If installed on two computers by the same user, no more than one instance of the software may be actively in use.

KeyAccess must be installed prior to running the installer.

Be sure to close all applications and verify that your operating system meets the system requirements.

Windows Installation Instructions (click to expand)

KeyAccess must be installed.
Download Camtasia Studio using the link provided.
Double-click the downloaded installer.
Accept the License Terms and Click Install.
Click Finish.
Launch Camtasia.
Do not register your software. Close the dialog box (click "X").

macOS Installation Instructions (click to expand)

KeyAccess must be installed.
Download Camtasia by clicking on the link provided.
Double-click on the "install_camtasia312" disk image to mount the disk on the desktop if it does not mount automatically.
Double-click on the "Camtasia_3.1.2" package and follow onscreen instructions to install.
Launch the application from the Applications folder.
