Camtasia may be used either on Brown University owned or personal computers for teaching purposes only. If installed on two computers by the same user, no more than one instance of the software may be actively in use.

KeyAccess must be installed prior to running the installer.

Be sure to close all applications and verify that your operating system meets the system requirements.

Windows Installation Instructions (click to expand)

KeyAccess must be installed.
Download Camtasia Studio using the link provided.
Double-click the downloaded installer.
Accept the License Terms and Click Install.
Click Finish.
Launch Camtasia.
Do not register your software. Close the dialog box (click "X").

macOS Installation Instructions (click to expand)

KeyAccess must be installed.
Download the Camtasia package by clicking on the links provided.
Double-click on "Camtasia-2023.0.3.pkg" to begin the installation
Follow the on-screen instructions accepting all default prompts.
Navigate to the Applications folder and double-click Camtasia to launch it.

*If you encounter a prompt that states "Camtasia-Registration-pkg2023.0.3.pkg cannot be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software", follow these steps to proceed with installing Camtasia:

Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General
Click "Allow" for Camtasia-Registration-2023.0.3.pkg
