Office 365 is meant for personally-owned computers, whereas Office 2016/2019 should be used on every Brown University-owned computer. Which Microsoft Office Should I Install?

Under Microsoft Enrollment for Education Service (EES), Office may be used exclusively for Brown-related projects, whether on computers owned or leased by Brown University or on computers personally owned by covered users. Covered users are defined as faculty and staff paid by Brown University. Office must be uninstalled when the user is no longer affiliated with Brown University and may not be installed on computers belonging to other institutions.

Windows 10, 11; Mac OSX 11 or later
(Windows) You must be on-campus or connected to VPN during the installation in order to activate properly.
You must be logged in as a local administrator
Be sure to close all applications and verify that your operating system meets the system requirements.
Additional Notes: 

    If you need to Add or Remove Microsoft Office features:

  1. Open Program and Features Control Panel
  2. Select Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016
  3. Click Change (Office Setup will open)
  4. Select Add or Remove Features
